This is a great teaching tool for man down situations. One defender versus two attackers. How can he manipulate the angles to make it so that every pass that those two attackers play has to go backwards? This is great because it’s a confined space and really teaches the right principles of defending.
Much like batting practice for baseball players, you get in your core work and develop a skill set much easier, much quicker than you can with the standard practice.
It is good for getting a lot of touches in a contained area. You can work on fitness because it is non stop. It is great for getting kids having fun playing soccer and that is a big deal – to get them hooked on the game at a young age.
